Don't know about the Harbor Freight CFL's, but I have had very bad  
experiences with CFL's in general. Last few I purchased from a local chain  
hardware store. They all appear to be made in China, as do almost all light  bulbs 
of any kind today, no matter what they say on the outside. :-) Last week I  
replaced the second one that burnt up while operating, taking with it the 
socket  in the basement, and nearly starting a fire. I cannot use one anywhere 
near my  home wireless phone (2.4GHz) because they generate too much RFI. I 
am sticking  to the old-fashioned types until LED replacements get cheaper.
