I used an original, unmodified GF 11 receiver and transmitter combination in
the 50's.
Nice gear -- looked a little like old time railway cars because
of the raised coil assembly protrusion. The transmitter earned my first and
FCC citation because
I wasn't cautious enough about frequency placement!
