[Boatanchors] Panel painting question-engraved lettering

hi,
I've done a lot of SP-600, and other, panels with engraved lettering.
I use an artists' acrylic water soluble paint, about the consistency of
ketchup. Timing is somewhat critical for removing the excess, I usually
wait 5 min. or so, and use a slightly dampened "hard" cloth, like from a
linen napkin, to wipe off the excess without getting into the engraved
areas.
	Take a look at:
<http://www.boatanchors.org/SP-600JX10_6363.htm> for one description &
pix, about half way down the page. In one of my jobs, don't remember
which one, I did give more explanation on the webpage.
If you really mess it up, it's easy to use some water to remove it all
and start over.
