Well, the estate sale is over. The 75A-2 sold for $250 (not to me). The owner
today decided to keep the HQ-110 and speaker for himself and will apparently try
to sell via in another venue the 4-5 crappy old scopes and maybe 10 other pieces
of not too desirable test equipment that remained this afternoon. He didn't
like my offer of $5 a piece for each of the left over aforementioned test
equipment. I did purchase the three General Radio 1650-A's yesterday and the
remaining DX-35 and HW-16 along with some other good test equipment and ALL the
loose parts (meters, transformers, numerous Variacs, R/C's, pots and
accessories) today in a lot purchase. Oh yes, the Cushcraft vertical came with
me too. The surprise of the day was an MFJ Pocket Morse Code Tutor that I found
in the bottom of a box after I got home. It even works. Dah-dit-dah-dit.

By the way, the owner of the stuff is the grandson of the ham that lived
there., The grandson also inherited the house, which is located in University
Park, a sort of snooty section of Dallas near SMU. The grandson turned down an
$800K offer for the house which will surely be bulldozed for new construction
after it sells for $1M+. When my grandfather died all I got was a few American
Flyer trains. What's wrong in this picture?
