The 6X4 and 6X5 and other indirect heated rectifiers are the ones that 
usually go first. Just ask anyone about Zeniths and 6X5's taking out 
transformers after they short.
The 80, 5Y3, 5Z3, 5U4, etc are often more forgiving of overcurrent and just 
let the xfmr go up in smoke...

There is nothing wrong with shelf queens if thats what you want and I have 
several that are either too scarce/valuable or are strictly there for the 
looks and not worth the effort to get working.

Others actually get used and are restuffed, etc and others are so common but 
excellent performers that they just get all modern caps and resistors where 
needed.
