Rick,

*IF* the IF is 455Kc, then a Kenwood SM-220 with BP-8 would do the job.

The SM-220 can work with simply the RF out.  No need for the 455Kc IF.  
That case you don't need the BP-8.

I've used one with several different transmitters, including my BC-610.  
My receivers have the 455Kc IF, so I can also use the BP-8 to look at 
received signals.
