[Boatanchors] Burying Coax

Sheldon (and others) are correct in that putting the coax inside the (gray)
plastic pipe when burying it is a GOOD idea. (Ask me how I know that!) One
word of caution, if you THINK you might want to replace the coax at some
point, or just remove it if you should move, make sure you use a large
diameter pipe. Coax will fit in 1" pipe, of course, but if you have to make
ANY turns, you'll never get it back out because it will bind. (Ask me how I
know THAT as well!). I'd suggest at least 2" pipe (which may not be
available in the gray variety).

Just my 2 cents (born of experience),

I can't imagine good coaxial line is going to have any
difference in noise pickup buried or unburied, but I
could be wrong. It is Thursday and this could be
my first wrong of the day.

I might suggest if you are going to go the expense
and trouble of burying a coaxial line, if you ever think
you might replace the line, to also bury plastic water
pipe and run the coaxial line inside the pipe. At least
this way, you would be able to pull the coaxial line
out rather than dig it all up again.

Just a thought,
