[Boatanchors] Burying Coax

Don't waste your time and energy...won't make a difference in noise. The
antenna picks up noise...and signals.
If you have a ground mounted, base fed, quarter wave vertical without a
radial system, get a DXE VFCC to keep noise and RF off the coax.
I have 240' of coax laying on top of the ground. It's normal RG-213 that
won't last very long if you direct bury it.
If you MUST bury it, use Davis Bury-Flex...an outstanding coax that is
designed to be buried....it's really tough.

Subject: [Boatanchors] Burying Coax

Howdy Group,

OK, so I admit I am not much of a farmer or gardener but I do have about a
400 foot length run of coax from the house to the tree line here. I believe
that burying the coax will lower the noise pickup from the line. No way I
could trench that much of it by hand, so is there something mechanical you
can rent or buy that would dig a slit in the earth to bury the coax?

Thanks All,
