[Boatanchors] Soldering Station Advice

When I was working at the local TV shop doing their stereo and other
audio repairs I was given a Phillips soldering station that needed
slight repair (case was cracked). This station has adjustable
temperature and even a meter to show the adjusted temperature.

The best thing about it is that you don't have to buy the special
Phillips tips, the Weller tips with the internal magnets fit and work
just fine. It uses a thermistor or similar element instead of the
magnetic sensor that gives so many problems in the Weller.

I believe that the same station could be bought at any ECG (Phillips)
supplier. I've used it for over 8 years and it was old when it was
given to me.
