A much better method is to remove the canned capacitor, open up the bottom 
crimp, pull out the contact plate, and re-stuff them with new ones.  Radial 
lead types are pretty much worthless (if you care what your work looks like) 
for under chassis replacements but work quite well for re-stuffing cans.  I 
did about 20 of them last year in a PP-351.  Aside from the silicon bridges 
in place of selenium (and the fact that it works quite well 56 years on), 
no one would know that I had ever been into it.
