In my increasingly-sparse tube collection I have a still working
Iconoscope (1850A), an Image Orthicon (5820), a couple of vidicons and
other various "light to voltage" conversion devices.

I also currently own/operate an RCA FR35TV and FR16TV telecine
projector, as well as what's left of the TK29C camera - it used three
vidicons with dichroic mirrors to separate the colors - and an on-the-fly
color correction circuit that worked in real time, had an S100
microprocessor and read keycodes off the film - stored the programs on a
microcassette drive - that was all scrapped and the previous owner had
installed a Sony hi-res CCD camera in place of one of the vids, and
removed the color mirrors. I have the TK29 but it's not used. I scrapped
out the Multiplexer Island - broke my heart but it was useless and large
and had to go.

Currently I just mount a modern HD camera right in the gates of the
projectors and do away with all the lenses and multiplexers, etc. Yes,
the image is upside down, but part of the downstream digital processing
corrects that.

I have the RCA slide projector - model escapes me at the moment - I have
it working, but no one's yet asked me to convert their slides. I also got
all the SMPTE and ANSI calibration materials for all this - so I can
assure you that your Yellowstone Trip Pictures from 1966 will be
transferred according to Broadcast Standards. HIHI.

   There's an Ampex VPR2 1" "C" machine hanging around as well - it's huge
but it actually works. It was part of the deal, or they were going to
roll it off into a dumpster - I couldn't bear the thought of that.

If you're interested in pics of this gear, (or just sorta bored) - you
can see it here:

and scroll down a bit to the pictures - there's a brief description there
too.
