What you need to do is to make sure that the RCA phono plug is tight. They definitely come loose if they are moved around a lot. Just take a pair of pliers and slightly compress the outer part of the plug. It will take more force to re-insert the plug, but, it won't come loose for a long time!
RCA plugs/jacks were designed for a connect and forget situation. When they are moved around a lot, or repeatedly connected and disconnected, they can loosen.
I have numerous RCA plugs/jacks on most of my equipment and don't have any problems when I do have to move them. But, when I sense that a particular plug may come loose then I just tighten the shell.

All of the Collins and Heath equipment are filled with RCA plugs/jacks and some of the other equipment uses them as well.

My S-line+62S-1+312B gets moved for repair, shack maintenance, alignment....etc....... The "Rats nest" is bad enough without worrying about attaching the receiver input to the 32S output.....
If I pull out one radio you can be darn sure that at least one of the #%$@ phono plugs will fall out...then out comes the mirror, flashlight and the fumbling begins...... Attaching the PTT plug to the anti-vox socket is a nuisance..connecting the RF out to anything is a disaster
