When properly installed, the RCA is actually a better r.f. connector than the UHF SO-239 and is just as good as the BNC.  The only thing is that the RCA cannot handle as much power as the SO-239.  However, it can definitely handle well over 100 watts all the way up to at least 1296 MHz.
