Hee hee.  I did just think of one good thing to say about the OS-8.  If you 
had to haul a 'scope from the 0-2 level to the 0-10 level, carrying an OS-8 
was certainly much easier than carrying one of the (I forget the 
nomenclature) HP monsters that we had in the 60's.

I don't recall any issues with trace brightness, though.
