Several of the WW-II tactical sets were supplied with what were then called 
Phantom Antennas.  Some of the HF ones also came with serial number matched 
tuning charts.  If the phantom antenna had been properly set up to match 
the antenna in use, you could re-channel the transmitter successfully without 
radiating.
