Being a postal office almost daily user, I've been told that Media Mail
package inspection is not uncommon and can be done not only at local post
offices but even at distribution mail centers. Do you really want to risk
a Federal looking person banging on your front door because you decided
to try and slip something past the federal employees just to save some
money. Personally, I never ship anything by Media Mail. It has the
lowest, lowest ship and handling priority.
