[Boatanchors] DX-20 Advice Please

   If you must use a fused cord/plug, if it's one of those old double 
fused plugs, do not use both fuses.  Solder a pc of wire on one of the 
prongs to make it so it will only fit into the wide slot of the 
jack/receptacle.  Then put in a pc of wire, or very high value fuse, in 
the ground/common side, and the proper fuse in the hot side.  That will 
keep form having the common side fuse open, leaving a hot line into the 
radio so you could get across almost anything and ground & get zapped. 
Hope that's clearer than mud.  Those double fused plugs are suicide.
