[Boatanchors] SOLDER TIPS

I got a Weller model 8200 a year or so ago to replace a very old Weller
WD-135 which they no longer make case housings for! The iron still works
great. The 8200 has trigger switch problems and it has failed twice and I
repaired it, but the switch is CRA compared with the older ones!~ Add to
this the price of a replacement switch is outrageous at around $12 plus
shipping! The iron works well except for the damned switch. Anybody know
where I can get some of the OLD type dual heat switches which were a LOT
more reliable! The one in the WD-135 is still going after over 40 years! I
will try to use it as a last resort.

73,

Sandy W5TVW
