The Hallicrafters web site isn't "just" Hallicrafters, other vintage rigs 
are supported too!

Hi All,

The Hallicrafters web site is privately owned and funded. The very talented
Web Master, W5JT, Jim Thayer, is the guilty party. Jim has put a huge amount
of work into this beautifully done web site and deserves a whole shopping
cart full of NOS tubes for his unselfish work! The rest of us could help
support the web site by sending Jim a donation to help keep this outstanding
and extremely helpful web site operating.

It does not have to be a lot of money, five dollars goes a long ways when
enough of you contribute. So please help support this valuable vintage radio
resource by sending Jim your heartfelt donation. His address is on QRZ.COM
under his call of W5JT.

Since Jim is a somewhat quiet and modest person, I am speaking on his
behalf. After all that he has done for so many of us, it is definitely our
time, and turn, to show our gratitude and appreciation by helping to pay the
operational costs of the HHI - Halligan's Hallicrafters International, or
just plain Hallicrafters web site. So please eat one less double
cheeseburger this month and send Jim some money to keep the web site humming
along happily.

I thank each of you for whatever that you can afford to donate. It all helps
and every cent is appreciated.

I also need to thank KG4KZG, Dale Rubin, for his tireless efforts in keeping
the 'ForSale-Swap section operating as smooth as a well oiled SX-88 or
SX-100 or SX-115 gear driven tuning mechanism. Thank you Dale!

Then we need to thank WA4SOX, Bob Kershner for his technical assistance to
those in need of vintage trouble shooting tips and tricks. His services are
available from the Halli web site in the tech support area. An e-mail to Bob
will get you some excellent assistance, expert guidance and often times a
solution to your electronic woes. Thanks Robert for your caring and help.

There are also many many others who contribute articles or tips or
techniques to assist all of us lovers of things that still go glow in the
dark to make them grow and glow. We thank each of you for your willingness
to share your wisdom with us. Without you vintage radio would not be the
precise science that it is! So keep those contributions coming and those
matched pairs of finals glowing through the frequent fog of frustration many
of us suffer through. Thanks to you, there is a happy face on the LED at the
end of the tunnel.

Then we have people who are living legends, like Dr. Max De Henseler, HB9RS,
of Switzerland. Max was there when Bill Halligan was alive and contributing
in one form or another. Now Max is sharing with us who were not there much
of what he has learned from many of the founding fathers of todays Ham
Radio. He does not seek attention or praise or glory. His reward is in being
able to leave a fragment of what he has learned with each of us to pass on
to the next generation of Hams. After all, a Ham can be a lot more than a
pork product! Thanks to Dr. Max for the fantastic Hallicrafters Chronology
on the Halli web site and his incredible book "The Hallicrafters Story". If
you have not read it, do yourself a favor and do so!

As for me, after the massive stroke that very nearly added "SK" in front of
my call sign last December 27, 2009 I am just thrilled to still be alive,
functional and able to host the Hallicrafters radio nets. You guys/gals are
the reason that I do what I do. It is both a honor and a thrill and I thank
each of you for giving me the opportunity to serve our mutual cause.

So please help support the wonders of the web site by sending the Web Master
the cost of one fast food meal that you could probably do without anyhow!
(LOL!) Nowadays I consider fast food to be anything slow enough for me to
spear it with a fork!

Thanks to all of you for allowing me the priviledge of serving you in the
world of Hallicrafters over the past thirteen years. The pleasure has been
all mine. Thanks guys.
