Hi Gang,

Watching "The Event" on TV this week, on a flash back when the aliens were escaping from the crash, they came upon an old military looking base in Alaska. (lots of snow and late 30's time frame.)

I could see a relay rack full of radios, but it was out of focus.  They did turn on one radio and it appeared to be a white Hallicrafters S-38.  They had a bright light in it when they turned it on.  Then they mentioned how old the technology was, that it "still" had Vacuum tubes in it.

If you want to see it and have "on demand cable service" it is about 10-12 minutes into the show.
