Here are a few to get you started.
1. The 1959 movie "Operation Petticoat" with Cary Grant
and Tony Curtis. In the early part of the movie spotted a Hallicrafters
HT-18 paired with an SX-42 on a shelf in the "requisition depot." In the
same scene, also spotted a WWII Scott receiver - possibly an RBO.
2. Found a bunch of Hallicrafters boatanchors in the cheesy 1953 Sci Fi
movie - "Cat Women of the Moon".
3. The 1987 Woody Allen movie "Radio Days". Besides seeing a lot of neat
1930's radios, their is one scene where their is a Hammarlund SP-200 in
the back of radio station's truck broadcasting from a remote site.
4. Also found a XXXX porno movie called "Sinfully Sexy" that featured an
Hallicrafters SX-28, an S-40, some HP test equipment and some good
looking women.
5. Herman Munster was a ham on the show but don't recall what radios he
was using
I know their are a lot more movies and old TV shows out there with
boatanchors in them.
