[Boatanchors] Military Transmitter Question

Pairing the T-368 with an R-390 (or -390A) receiver was
done in the Air Force. I know, cuz I saw it.  Didn't know enough
at the time to distinguish between the R-390 and A model.

My Dad was stationed at a SAC RBS (radar bomb scoring)
site in the mid-60s and that combination was the HF portion
of the comms facility. Frequency was 5710kc , IIRC. There was
no VHF, and UHF was done with what I think was an AN/GRC-27.

Dad left the site in '67,  and the site itself lasted till around 1980 or so
so don't know if it was ever replaced.

In the couple of years I was radio-savvy and living there, I only heard it
used a couple of times, but I didn't monitor it continuously.
