I should also crawfish slightly and add that the AN/SRR-12 and -13 would be
more contemporary with AN/SRT-14 and -15. And that in addition to the
R-390A, the R-1051 was used with the AN/WRT-2. And early models of AN/URT-23
were used with the R-390A near the end of the latters service life with the
Navy. AN/URT-23 appears to have been the preferred replacement for AN/WRT-2.
But around the same time that it began entering service, R-1051 was
replacing R-390A.
And best match to the 51J-4 is probably T-213/GRC-26 (a BC-610 variant).
The other two Signal Corps transmitters in service around the same time as
the 51J-3 and 51J-4 were the BC-653 (of SCR-506) and T-195 (of AN/GRC-19 et
al). And both of those came with their own matched receiver (BC-652 and
R-392).
