Numerous Boatanchor Items For Sale:

M C Jones VHF/UHF Wattmeter:

This MC Jones Wattmeter is a vintage unit, probably from just
after WW II. At that time, it was the gold standard of wattmeters,
basically equivalent to a Bird today.

This particular meter has N connectors in and out. It reads 12
Watts full scale in the forward position, and 4 Watts full scale
in reflected. It also has an SWR calibrate and SWR scale on the
meter. I think the frequency range is from 20 to 1000 MHz, but I
am not 100% positive of that. It works well on 2 meters and 440
MHz. The RF sensor unit inside is model 576.3.

This one functions fine, and looks extremely nice for its age.
$60

Variac (Variable AC transformers):

Staco Type 033-3587 Variac
This Variac is rated for 10 amps output at up to 140 Volts AC,
50 to 60 Hz. This one is in very nice condition. The knob even
shines, and has a nicer pointer than most I have seen. The
scale is crisp and nice. It will just barely fit in to a medium
Priority Mail Flat Rate Box, so shipping will not be too bad.
$50

19 inch Relay Rack Shelves:

This black shelf in made to fit a standard 19 inch relay rack.
The shelf itself is 17 5/8 inches wide (standard width for
inside of the rack) by 18 inches. It attaches to the rack so
that 4 inches of it extends in front of the rack and 14 inches
behind the rack (or you could reverse it for 14 inches in front
and 4 behind). It has vent holes so that equipment that is set
on it can get some air. It requires 4 inches of rack space.

It is similar to one seen here
http://www.l-com.com/item.aspx?id=8487
or
http://www.rackmounts.com/Middle-Atlantic-U2MS-DF2984.html
except 4 inches of it extends past the mounting point.

These are in extremely good condition. I can not find a scratch
on them. They look new. Two are available. Buy one for $35,
or both together for $65.

Astatic D-104 Desk Microphone:

Most people know that the Astatic D-104 is the "Lollypop"
desk mic. This mic has very nice chrome plating on the mic
itself, and on the PTT grip section. The base is black.

Of course it works fine, and looks extremely nice.

With paper work for $75 plus shipping from Florida.

Turner "Plus Three" Desk Microphone
This is an amplified desk mic, so it can be used with most any
rig. Gain can be adjusted from basically no gain to quite a bit.
The reviews on eham, several people say it is the best microphone
they ever used. It requires a 9 volt battery. It presently has
a round 8 pin connector wired for Kenwood, but of course that
can be changed.
This one works fine and looks nice. $40

Turner Sideband Expander Desk Microphone
This is a high impedance desk mic with good articulation. Great
for any rig requiring a Hi Z Mic.It has a black base and neck
ith an aluminum colored rig around the actual mic element.
Stripped and tined leads. $35

Astatic D-104-M6 Hand Microphone:

Most of use know what the D-104 "Lollypop" desk mic is like.
This is the hand mic equivalent.

The D104-M6 microphone is a quality performance field effect
amplified “power” microphone. The housing is molded black ABS;
the front half is chrome plated and the grille screen is chrome
plated. The output impedance is compatible with the inputs of
almost all commercial transceivers; it has an externally adjustable
high gain amplifier to ensure the desired modulation level.
The D104-M6 has an easily accessible control so that the correct
modulation level can be set for each operators voice.

This one works fine and looks extremely nice.

With paper work for $40.

Generic Low Impedance Hand Microphone
This is a low impedance hand microphone, black in color.
Looks and works great. With 4 pin connector. $25

Waters "Universal Hybrid Coupler II" Model 3002:

Most of us would likely call this a phone patch, but it
is really much more than that. It does that, but also
will interface with a tape recorder, and permit recording
and play back of on-the-air QSOs. Nothing says that the
tape recorder input must be used that way. Connect the
sound card in your computer in this position, and you
have a very effective interface.

Model 3002 includes a speech compressor powered by a 9
volt battery. The front panel is finished on both
sides, with one side having it set in a horizontal
position, and the other in a vertical position.

This was a "top of the line" unit years ago. One only
found them with top stations such as Collins.

This particular unit is in really great condition.

With paper work for $100.

Heath HN-31 "Cantenna" RF Dummy Load

This is the traditional Heath dummy load that will handle a
kilowatt. It has a derating curve both printed in the manual
and on the can.

I measured the resistor and it is 47 ohms, so obviously it
is in good shape and a great match for 50 ohms. The cantenna
itself is in really great shape, with no rust, dents or dings.

Paper work is included for $45.

MFJ 900 HF Antenna Tuner:

The MFJ 900 covers 160 thru 10 meters, and is rated at 200
watts. I would not put more than 100 watt thru it, however.

It is in a nice Woodgrain / Eggshell color enclosure that is
a perfect match for some of the earlier TenTec gear, such as
the Triton I and II, Argonaut 505 and 509, and others. But of
course it can be used with any HF rig.

This one works fine, and looks fine also. $45

SWR Bridges:

Both have SO-239 connectors, and cover from 3 to 150 MHz,
covering HF, 6 meters, and 2 meters, so they are ideal for the new
rigs with 6 meters and 2 meters in them.

Quement SWB-2 Dual Meter
This unit features two separate meters -- one for reading forward
power and another for reading SWR. This permits one to easily
monitor both the power going out, and the SWR on the antenna.
Works fine and looks great. With paper work for $40

Royce 2-100 Single Meter SWR Bridge / Field Strength Meter
This one works fine, and looks extremely nice. I do not see
any scratches on it, but it does have a previous owners name
on it. In its original box with original instructions. $32

Low Pass TVI Filters:

A low pass TVI filter is added to the transmitter to reduce
harmonic interference. All have SO-239 connectors, and include
paper work.

B & W FL-10/1500
This filter cuts off just above 10 meters, and handles 1500
Watts. It is the latest model B&W filter.
In very nice condition, it looks very close to new. $40.

B & W 425
It cuts off just above 10 meters, and will handle 1500+ Watts.
Maximum attenuation is at 52 MHz, with at least 70 db across
the band. This is an older, heavier duty model. It weighs
almost twice as much as the newer model. $35

Drake TV-3300-LP
This is a modern low pass filter has been optimized to have
more attenuation in the 40 MHz region, where many TVs have
their IF. It is good for 1000 Watts "average" according to
the manual, and has over 80 db attenuation at 41 MHz.
This one looks great. $30

Magic Eye" Tube:

6E5 "Magic Eye" tube as used in many capacitor testers,
and other test equipment that uses the "magic eye" as
an indicator.
This particular 6E5 is NOS (New, unused, but old stock),
in its original Sylvania box. $20

CW Items:

Signal Electric Vintage R-68 Code Practice Buzzer
This unit has an oval based key (nice action with nice bearings)
mounted on a piece of wood that I think is mahogany.
The code is on a metal plate on the front, with the key on
the right, and the buzzer on the left. There is a wiring
diagram and other information on the back. It can be used
by itself, or hooked together with another unit.
This unit is in great condition, and is collectible. I don't
know the exact vintage, but I am guessing prior to WW II. $50

Nye Viking Speedex 310-001 "Oval Base" Key
Nice action, with nickel hardware. This originally had a black
base, but someone painted the base to look like it is brass.
Nye sells these for $58. This one is only $35.

Heavy Metallic Base for CW Key
This is a heavy metal base that weighs about a pound and a half,
black color with red felt on the bottom. Attach most any key to
it and it will stay in place on your desk! $20

Cables for CW keys and keyers:

Cable for straight key
About 3 feet long, with a mono 1/4 inch phone plug on it,
as is used with a straight key. $5
As above, but 1/8 inch (3.5 mm) plug. $5

Cable for paddles
About 3 feet long, and with a 1/4 inch stereo connector
on the end, like used by most rigs. $8
As above, but 1/8 inch (3.5 mm) plug $8

Astron RS-12 A, 13.8 Volt DC Power Supply:

This power supply is rated at 9 amps continuous and 12 amps ICS.
It is ideal for most 2 meter rigs, including the 50 Watt rigs.

This Astron power supply features solid-state electronic
regulation, EMI filter, fold back current limiting for protection
from excessive current and shorted output, and crowbar over-voltage
protection.

This particular supply works 100% and looks the same. I can not find
a scratch on it. With paper work for $50.

Knife Switch:
A knife switch is often used to switch antennas using open
wire or "twin line" feeders, but can be used for other purposes.
This knife switch is DPDT. The base is about 2 1/2 by 1 1/2
inches in size, and is phenolic.
This one works fine and is in good condition. $7

120 Volt AC Power cords:

These are power cables that plug in to the 120 V AC line.
They have the standard 3 prong plug on one end, and have the
"International" 3 slot socket on the other end, as is used
on most computers, plus many other pieces of electronic
equipment, such as ham gear and test equipment.

These all function fine, and look very good. Some have been
used, and some may not have been. $1 each.

Coax connectors and adapters:

Prices are per connector. Several of each are available.
These are NOS (have not been used).

BNC male for coax cable
standard type - $2
crimp on type - $3

Chassis mount BNC female
square mount (uses 4 screws) - $3
screw in type - $3

BNC "T" - two female and one male - $3

Antenna adapter to fit the BNC connector on the HT
and provide an SO-239 connector that will permit
a PL-259 to be attached. (BNC male to UHF female) $5

UHF Male (PL-259) to BNC female (opposite of above) $5

UHF double female "Barrel connector" (two SO-239 together) $3

UHF "T" connector with two female (SO-239) and one male
(PL-259) connection - $5

Dayton Hamvention Memorabilia:

These are items from the Dayton OH Hamvention that is held
annually at Hara Arena.

Ceramic with 1974 Dayton Hamvention Logo
I don't know if to call this a candy dish, or an ash tray, or
a wall hanging. It is ceramic, square, about 7.5 inches on a
side and 1.3 inches deep. It could set on the table in your
shack or be displayed in many other ways.
It looks like new. $10

Dayton Hamvention Programs
These are the programs that are handed out when one attends.
They are 8.5 x 11 inch size with about 50 to 80 pages,
depending on the year. Some parts are in color. They list
the dealers, forums, etc., but also include many advertisements
of the particular year. Great for nostalgia! All are in close
to new condition, and are $5 each.
Years available are
1986
1987
1988
1990
1991 (40th anniversary)
2010
