Brian,
with all due respect, to simply claim there is no
point in correcting something is to me a very
defeatist attitude. I suspect there isn't much
input to the brain surgery sections of Wikipedia
from plumbers, and perhaps as little input from
brain surgeons to the Wikipedia sections on plumbing.
I don't know a damn thing about the ARC-5 systems to
make a comment to change or correct Wikipedia, so I
don't.
Perhaps I will withdraw my second question regarding
input to Wikipedia, but I still maintain my first
question, if the ARC-5 page of Wikipedia, or for that
matter, any other boat anchors related postings on
Wikipedia are wrong or folks claim wrong, then
this is the exact forum to discuss, debate, and clarify.
I am not suggesting Wikipedia is the ends to all knowledge,
it certainly isn't, but it is a good starting point for a
basic knowledge of something, knowing there could be
problems with the postings, and as with all research
documentation, one document isn't the ends to all
knowledge either.
What I am suggesting is that we should all be working to
correct things, not simply walk away because we disagree.
