Not correct.  Metric prefixes signifying GREATER than
the basic unit are normally capitalized. Those that
signify that the unit is SMALLER than the basic unit
are lower case.

With frequency, there is a difference with kilohertz
because the upper case "K" has already been assigned
to Kelvin temperature where any K temperature is
referenced to 0 degrees K which is ABSOLUTE ZERO
(- 273 Celsius).

That's the reason for the apparent anomaly where the 
convention is MHz for megahertz and kHz for kilohertz.

If there were an actual unit "mHz" would it signify
one cycle every 1000 seconds?
