[Boatanchors] Milliammeter shunt resistance wire sources?

I harvest the GFCI plugs from hair appliances for use with AC-DC chassis
Hair dryers are also an excellent and compact source of nichrome wire
complete with a re-usable mounting and some heat proof insulation. Try
using a brass screw, lock washer and nut for attachment to copper wire.
