Interesting rig indeed.  Don't have one but picked up an original  
"Preliminary" manual at a hamfest a number of years ago.  Subsequently  
spun the book off to a guy up in New England who had one but kept a  
copy for myself.  Only existing unit I had heard of until now.  (Maybe  
the same set?) Drawings in the book carry 1945 dates.  Picture  
included in the book shows a guy carrying one on a packboard but his  
uniform doesn't look authentic military. Suspect the company had hopes  
of landing a government coustomer but may or may not have been  
successful.  Manual shows a companion AC supply which the eBay guy  
apparently doesn't have.
