While I haven't seen it, it's supposed to be nice and clean, no rust

Don't know if you'd call it a "tip", but I'd be tempted to keep the audio mod in place and acquire the parts to reverse it in case I in the future somehow really felt so inclined.  The PP 6AQ5's will, if done correctly, provide quite superior audio to that of the stock single 6V6.
