Would be 600ma. if they had used a 6X5. But then why were not cold-
cathode rectifiers used in AC operated equipment? granted the power
saving is less important, but still would be significant. And now
that I think of it, cold-cathode rectifiers were used early on in the
"battery eliminators" that used tubes like BA and BR.
