There are not any legal electronic files available for 73 Magazine.  There was an attempt a while back.  However, there are way too many copyright problems and that particular endeavor has faded.

Two of the many copyright problems come from the fact that 73 Magazine only bought first time printing and, in many cases, first reprint rights, for a large number of the articles.  Also, according to Wayne Green, W2NSD, in an E-Mail to me a little while back, his office manager did not pay any of the authors during the last 2 or 3 years of its operation.  The office manager marked the articles paid but actually "pocketed" the money herself.  Because of this there was no possible transfer of the copyrights.  As such, the copyrights are still held by quite a number of different individuals, estates, and so forth.  To reprint, or otherwise make available electronic copies, the permission from every copyright owning author, or their heirs if they are deceased, would have to be obtained and that is basically an impossible task.

I personally own a number of the copyrights on articles published in 73 Magazine (and over 1000 copyrights on other material) and, if someone were to start distributing copies of the magazines in which those articles appeared, I would definitely require that I be compensated if there were any charges at all for the material.  I have also stated, in the past, that if permission could be gained from all the other copyright holders, and if there were to be no charges made for obtaining the electronic copies of the magazine, that I would definitely give my permission to reproduce the material.  However, if any charges were to be made then I would enforce my copyrights and demand that I be paid for reproducing the copyrighted material.

Is there anywhere I can get copies of 73 Magazine in electronic format ?
 
I am looking for some issues from 1964 through 1966 at present.
