[Boatanchors] Here's Eye Candy Heathkit Station

The Mowhawk is a bit deaf on 10m, but like lots of radios of that era, you
can use a preamp on 10m.  It is a neat radio to use with a Marauder
transmitter.  That was my first HF station back in 1975.  I loved it; not
enough to want one again, but very nice!

Speaking of the Heathkit Mohawk and Maurader,  I acquired the pair a few
years ago and haven't gotten around to restoring them  yet.  Just how good
is that Mohawk receiver?  I don't have any experience with it and a friend
recently told me it's a big headache and to just get rid of it.  Man oh man,
if that Mohawk worked half as good as it looks it would be a stunning
performer.. hi hi
