Adding my 2 pence-worth --
The little town in Ky where I grew up had a barber that still used a straight razor until a few years before he retired.
Whether he was using scissors to cut hair or a straight razor to give shaves, his tremors seemed to stop just an inch
or so away from you. It was a scary thing to watch! As his tremors became worse, he switched over to electric trimmers
and a safety razor before retiring at about age 90 or so. (this was in the early-mid 1980's or so)
He did shaves the old fashioned way - covered your stubble in a warm towel and made his own lather with a cup and
brush. Kept the razor sharp with a leather strop.* Do any barbers out there still give straight-razor shaves? There really is no comparison to any other whisker
cutting method.
I have "essential tremors" according to my neurologist. Not sure of the difference is... Luckily they aren't there all the time.

*(The strop was from Hair Milk company - odd name and still in business! Google for many photos, mostly from folks making fun of the name.)
