I myself wouldn't have used Paypal for that size transaction, or for any
amount I can't afford to lose for that matter...but then, I wouldn't have
shipped high-value electronics directly overseas to begin with--I would have
demanded the buyer agree to use a bonded freight forwarder, but it was his
call.
And the electronics in question were not BAs.  End of topic.

That makes no sense unless it is a money laundering scam or something. Any
transactions that size are done via bank wire transfers.
