[Boatanchors] The Bad Effects of Years of RF exposure

Well, for the about last 40 of the slightly over 50 years that I have been licensed, I have normally run a linear amplifier and none on me, at least that anyone has noticed! Now I don't run more than about 100 watts output on the higher frequency bands except for 432 MHz where I run about 150 watts output.

I did acquire rheumatoid arthritis. However, that is caused by an allergic reaction and not by r.f. My "lucky" item was a particular cleaning agent that a new janitorial service started using at my place of employment about 8 years ago. It only took a couple of exposures to the chemical. RA can be caused by anything to which a person suddenly becomes allergic. Someone can walk outside on day and have an allergic reaction to grass and "acquire" RA.

Now a financial "side effect" is probably a slightly higher electric bill, but even that increase is basically minimal (much less than the bill for air conditioning here in the Dallas, Texas, area).

Any one know the long term negative health issues from running a killowatt station/side affects?
