Hi Bob - do you know if there is some scheme for adding crystals in the SP600?
I have had a few folks asking me about this lately.
If so, would they be for fixed frequency operation? extra bands or what?

Subject: [Boatanchors] SP-600 J-11
Mine is one of the Northern Radio ones. They did a contract for the
Navy with the earlier diversity modifications. S/N 9758.
It has had a bunch of Black Beauties replaced with Orange drops.
I have not tore into the turret or "cans" yet. I DO know that is has
the square "mica-mold" caps in it.
I guess I need to get in on the to-do list. I have an SX-101MkIII, an
HT-32A, and an R-390A in front of it.
I suppose I'd get further along if I would only stick to ONE at a time,
instead of hopping from radio to radio!
The biggest thing holding up the R-390A is the front panel. I've tried
to refinish it several times. I'm going BACK to square one. I'm going
to strip it down AGAIN, dust it with the satin gray, then once more,
bake it. Then give another try at filling in the engravings.
