Hi Dave,
     Sorry to hear of your surgery, sounds like it'll be a while before 
you're moving boatanchors around much.
     The s/n is on a plate on the top ot the top cover over the variable 
tuning cap.  If it's in a cabinet without a lid, then you've gotta move 
2 heavy beasts.  We can wait.
