A very confusing thing is there were two Boonton's, and if you read
the URL below you could say there were three.
The Boonton that is still around (well just a name on a foreign owned
company but still Boonton) and BRC or Boonton Radio Corporation. BRC
is the one that made the Q and RX meters and was bought by HP in 59.
After WWII they should have got together over a beer or two flipped a
quarter a the looser renamed. It has been confusion since :-)
Now for some real fun this thing was made by "Boonton Research" Not
Boonton or Boonton Radio Corp (HP)
Finally the answer
http://www.hparchive.com/Boonton/Boonton-New-Jersey.pdf
page 4, 1st column.
Boonton Research .. so you could say it was RFL who set up ARC who
sold off Boonton Research etc etc
Boonton NJ must of had some great bar conversations at the time !!!
-pete 260-A and 190-A Q-Meters by BRC and by HP a 250-B RX meter and a
HP 4243A Q-Meter.
