YES, unfortunately.  My 88 had sagging on each end of bezel dropping 
low enough to hit the knob skirts immediately below it.  Tried 
storing it upside down for a year to see if it would reverse, but it 
did not. :-(  Pot metal is not nice.

There was a fella about ten years ago that made a casting and 
produced a number of bezels
for subscribers.  Don't recall if they were fiberglass or aluminum, 
but by then I had sold
my 88.  He advertised on the BA lists.
