[Boatanchors] Xtal - where was this guy used ?

Probably for an aircraft radio beacon transmitter.  The frequency is 
right for that service.  I have seen similar units in a Northern Radio 
(Seattle) bacon transmitter that used PP 807s modulated by 2 more 807s.
