I'm inclined to agree with N8YD's (and someone else's) comment about the 
BP-4 AA-pack.  In fact, if anyone has one to sell, I'm interested.  I stupidly 
left cells in mine years ago and ruined it.

Also, there is a seller on eBay with new NiMH packs for $32 plus shipping.  
I just wrote to ask whether they could be safely charged in the BC-35 or 
not.
