[Boatanchors] Your experience with China made freq counters

I have an Optoelectronics 600mhz freq counter that I monitor freq in the shack
with. Now I want a "bench freq counter" to service my boatanchors with.
Obviously it doesn't have to be a really high precision meter as would be needed
in sensitive commercial work.
I am considering a new bench freq counter "made in China" sold by dealers in the
USA. The prices are good and the specs are very adequate. I am concerned about
reliability and life of the LEDs as well as general equipment life and
reliability. If you have had experience, as the owner of such a China made freq
meter, I would appreciate it if you have owned one and used one on your bench,
if you would share your experience with me.
I would consider a used USA made meter off ebay except that the LEDs might have
expired or the freq meter might be inoperative. So it is really important to
know what you are buying. Low price with no service on my bench is not a
bargain. Your input greatly appreciated. Thanks and 73, John,K5PGW
