[Boatanchors] Anyone Noticed

Supply of the more common stuff (probably 85-90% of the gear) is
continuing to overwhelm demand and it's only going to increase. No one
coming behind as as I've been warning folks for years. I can count on
one hand the 30somethings I know who are interested in radio and have
fingers left over. I think some of the folks who saw old radios as
great financial 'investments' are finally waking up and accepting less
now rather than a lot less later. My guess is that the economy has far
more impact on buyers than sellers at this point, but who knows for
sure?

The "younger" group (40s-50s) who can still wrassle these things
around without minding too much will have plenty to choose from over
the next few years as more stuff becomes available from those who have
left us, moved to smaller quarters, or are just sick of trying to move
a 32V across the room.

Guys like you are the exception, Carl. You're like my dad, 70something
going on 50. You guys will start to slow down in your 90s. At 49, I
have days when a 32V feels like a box of oranges, and others when it
feels like a block of granite. Trying to get all the ridiculous crap
out of my system before the body really starts going to hell. I wasn't
kind to it over the years.
