[Boatanchors] Anyone Noticed

I think a combination of economic conditions and also we are on the downside of the "vintage gear fad". A bunch of people got excited about vintage gear but after awhile the interest wanes and collections that took a few years to put together are liquidated quickly. It is good news for those who have a long term interest in restoring and operating vintage gear but not so good for those who were buying "investment grade vintage gear" (a funny term that showed up in a number of ebay listings over the years).

Remember the $1,800 SX-100 receivers on ebay? (and the $850 Rangers) I believe the "white hot" market is gone.

Anyone noticed that there is a ton of boatanchors listed on e-bay these
days. Today under receivers there are 37 pages of listing, last year I
noticed only about 8 pages, some goes for the transmitters section, is
it hard times for some folks or what?
