The Jackson tracks well with the 752A and TV-7C Mike, I feel comfortable
with it at least for the initial testing. There is also sufficient on line
info to come up with a complete settings book.

The 752A is setup in the 2nd basement (this house is a combination of 1835,
1932, and 1989 construction and its 80' long) where the tube stash resides
and its easier for the dual triodes and diodes plus its unbeatable for gas
tests.

Kind of like gold plated wall outlets.

I forget what the second tube is but apparently one *has* to be an RCA 6L6,
tested on a particular tube tester, which changes from vendor to vendor
since each claims to have the only accurate one (I think all are Hickok
models.), to ensure it falls dead on spec according to the tube manuals.
Which vintage of which manual isn't specified and the words "typical" and
"average" seem now to mean something entirely new.

I now have two Jackson 648 versions, per your suggestion. How did you find
they compare to the Hickoks?
