[Boatanchors] Sonar CFC VFO/EXCITER

I have a 1947 Sonar CFC VFO/EXCITER with a bad power transformer and need to replace the power transformer.  Does anyone know what voltage the original transformer supplied? It has a 5Y3 rectifier. The other tubes are 6SK7, 6SL7,6V6 and 6L6 with a VR150 regulator tube. The exciter was originally designed to put out 4 to 5 watts out of  the 6L6.  I want tot get it going.  I am leaning toward trying a 250-250 vac transformer. What do you think? Thanks and 73, John, K5PGW
