[Boatanchors] GPR-90 Question

Hello Bruce...Couple of points...

I have a GPR-90RXD and thought the same thing you did. I dove into and found
nothing wrong.....then I read the manual.

The filter is good for CW reception. Once I got that through my head, I
found that carefully tuning the CW pitch with the BFO and then slowly
adjusting the 1200hz audio, it does make a nice difference. You can actually
get a nice audio "peak" with the audio spread control. It's quite nice once
you get the hang of it and work it with the BFO to get the right pitch.

I'm not sure the expense of installing that circuit was worth it, but the
engineers thought otherwise....
