Hi Rob,
I have contacted Bill Carns, President of CCA and he will contact you to
rectify the matter. Apparently your check got lost in the shuffle of a
system that had room for error. CCA has a new procedure now incorporating
the use of PayPal to submit membership dues which should work much better.
Bill asked that I post this to the BA reflector as he is not subscribed.

Subject: [Boatanchors] CCA: Dead or Alive?
I am going through last year's checks as part of preparing my tax
return and I found a cashed check for $20 made out to the Collins
Collectors Association. Cashed on July 2nd last year at the Bank of
America in Phoenix MD. The memo line says "1 Year Fee." I have not
received one single thing from the Collins Collectors Association.
Can anyone tell me about it? Is it defunct? They are evidently alive
enough to cash checks.
Well, if dead air is what you get for $20, I want my money back.
I sent $2 to AMI and at least got a very nice certificate which, for
$2 is a pretty good deal. My two bucks barely covered the postage.
