Actually the -proper- way to hunt snipe is with an expensive 20 gauge 
side by side shotgun, Tweed jacket and the most expensive bird shooter 
boots.  A German Short-hair retriever or Hungarian Visla are  acceptable 
dogs.  Snipe are sometimes referred to as Woodcock.
