[Boatanchors] auction time linked to what timing source?

I generally so something similar. If another is handling something, I
won't say anything.

But, as soon as the other person takes his hands off it, if no money has
been paid or neither other party has said "sold", I consider it fair game
and will immediately take hold or say sold or both.
